FT. LAUDERDALE, FL – May 7, 2009 – Dinah Stephenson has been named among the 100 Outstanding Women of Broward County by The Boys and Girls Clubs of Broward County and the Susan B. Anthony Recovery Center. The award honors progress made by women in leadership roles in business, community and philanthropic fields. “Dinah has a long record of service,” her husband, Dwight, said. “She’s always been driven to be a leader in the community and is actively involved in a number of professional and charitable groups.” Among her most recent accomplishment is co-founding the Dwight Stephenson Foundation with her husband in 2007. The mission of the Foundation is to combine their sports and business connections they have made over the years in an effort to generate increased funding for charities that support the needs of children and families in South Florida. The award was presented Thursday, May 7th, 2009 at the Signature Grand in Davie, Florida. Proceeds from the event, which included a fashion show, will benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of Broward County and the Susan B Anthony Recovery Center.
